Servo drives have the capability to drive a machine components with high speed, high torque and exact positioning of the apparatus. Master slave systems can operate several servo drives together. This prevents mechanical interlocks between drives which have to operate synchronous. Servo drives are flexible in adjustment and commissioning. An other advantage is the smoothness of acceleration and deceleration which prevents shocking of the machine, reduces noise and electrical peaks load of the drive.
