To produce pavers or facing bricks, a horizontal or vertical press hopper is filled with clay. In the hopper, horizontal or vertical shafts with propellers move the clay under the press block.

The mechanical or hydraulic intermittent moving press block pushes the clay through the die in the mould boxes.
